Recently, the 3H Crew participated in the Global Read Aloud and read The Year of Billy Miller. Each student picked a character from the story and identified 3 character traits. Next they found evidence from the story to back up their ideas. We used our Whole Brain Teaching techniques and started practicing our oral paragraphs using air punctuation. After lots of rehearsal, we put our ideas to paper. See if you can spot the Triple Whammy sentences in our opening and closing paragraphs.

I am so very proud of the 3H Crew. Today they stood in front of our whole school community and did a presentation about the Global Monster Project.

Were you wondering what happened with our Lima Bean Experiment? You will be happy to know that the plants are not only alive, they are thriving! The 3H Crew has been keeping track of their growth using the app, Pic Collage. Below you will see how the plants looked when they were 27 days old, and again when they were 50 days old. You will notice that we have transplanted the lima beans into bigger pots, and added worm compost that was donated from the 2nd graders.

Wednesday night was the Reflections Art Show. The 3H Crew was well represented. It was neat to see all of the talent from Tatem School. Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Reflections Program this year.
