Hour of Code (well… maybe it was actually an hour and 1/2 of code!)
This afternoon, the 3H Crew members were amazing problem solvers and worked feverishly on coding! The first challenge of the day was to program droids and create their own Star Wars game. Those who successfully passed all 15 Star Wars challenges, were able to move on and explore other coding challenges such as Minecraft and Flappy Code. If you want to give coding a try, visit Code.org! Anyone can learn how to code!
Preparing for Student-led Conferences
This year the members of the 3H Crew will be taking the lead when it comes to conferences. Yes, it is true, the 3rd graders will be running the conferences with their parents starting next week. To prepare, they have been reflecting on their work so far this year, determining their strengths, analyzing work to set goals for the next marking period, and finding lots of evidence to share at the conference. After a bit of rehearsal time next week, I feel certain that the 3H Crew will do an amazing job with their first student-led conferences.
